CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, and CENELEC, the European Electrotechnical Committee for Standardization, have teamed up to create European standards for the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) divided into three key categories: economic, environmental, and societal sustainability.

CEN and CENELEC’s new standards provide mutual and clear rules for behaviour, facilitating the sharing of best practices and innovations. They have started mapping the standards that make the most difference when it comes to the SDGs in a European context.

Through their interactive map, you can explore each SDG and see which standards best contribute to each one. With the filter functionality, you can easily search for standards that CEN and CENELEC have developed, and as time goes on, the list will grow and evolve as new projects are added. CEN and CENELEC’s collaboration shows there are concrete and effective actions for the SDGs available to companies looking to lead the change.
